Kitchen Staff

REPORTS TO: Assistant Kitchen Manager/Kitchen Manager

This position is vital to ensuring the quality standards of Dreamland BBQ. A background in a restaurant kitchen is helpful. As a member of the DREAM Team, you'll assist as needed, demonstrating a full understanding of the Dreamland menu and safe food handling practices.

  • Ensures CUSTOMER SATISFACTION by delivering the Dreamland experience.
  • Maintains personal hygiene, frequently washing and sanitizing hands.
  • Sanitizes and ensures the functionality of cookware and utensils for food preparation.
  • Utilizes Dreamland tools and systems to maintain quality and consistency of Dreamland products.
  • Fulfills guest orders accurately and promptly.
  • Complies with all Federal, State, and local laws and Food Safety Standards.
  • Works effectively as part of the team, fulfilling multiple duties as needed.
  • Maintains the cleanliness, organization, and proper atmosphere of all back-of-house areas, crucial for achieving the Guests' Ultimate Dreamland Experiences.
  • Assists in ensuring proper food storage and rotation according to Dreamland BBQ and Health Department regulations.
  • Keeps the kitchen floor clean, dry, and safe.
  • Handles trash removal, counter cleaning, and restroom maintenance.
  • Monitors and records temperatures of kitchen equipment and food items.
  • May monitor, take inventory, and report on kitchen items needing reordering.
  • Prepares food items for the daily menu, including chopping, sorting, washing, and proper storing of food.
  • Reports to your shift on time and in the proper Dreamland image.
  • Completes any other duties determined by the Kitchen Manager.

Experience: Food and beverage experience preferred.

Education: High School degree or equivalent preferred.
