ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and deliver exceptional food to every guest, maintaining high standards for quality, sanitation, and safety.
  • Handle high volume and stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Adhere to uniform standards, including proper dress and conduct.
  • Prioritize food quality above all else, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of systems, methods, and processes.
  • Adhere to prep and line build recipes, demonstrating proficiency in food products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
  • Employ strong mathematical skills for recipe understanding, measurements, requisition amounts, and portion sizes.
  • Follow all training guidelines and testing procedures.
  • Always use appropriate cut gloves.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station and equipment, adhering to established cleaning schedules.
  • Check the quality of ingredients and restock stations as needed, ensuring a seamless transition for the next shift.
  • Ensure all products are properly labeled and dated to maintain freshness.
  • Adhere to all Health, Occupancy, Safety, and Sanitation standards.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comply with scheduled work shifts.
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities as requested by management.

Uniform Standards:

  • Clean jeans or chef pants
  • Clean black t-shirt (tucked in)
  • Belt (if wearing jeans)
  • Clean black hat (forward-facing)
  • Clean hair (underneath hat)
  • Clean shaven (beards/mustaches permitted, but well-maintained)
  • Trimmed fingernails
  • No jewelry (ears, face, neck, wrists)
  • No headphones/earbuds
  • Clean and pressed apron
  • Non-slip shoes

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Proficiency in English, including the ability to understand prep recipes and line build procedures.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions, and deal with standardized situations with minimal variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Successful completion of orientation, agreement to policies and procedures, completion of Line Cook/Prep Cook training, and all required food certifications in compliance with local and state regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly requires standing, walking, use of hands/fingers to handle objects, speaking and listening. Occasional reaching and lifting/moving up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Regular exposure to fumes/airborne particles, occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions (dish area, freezer, walk-in cooler), and occasional exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals (cleaning).
