Job Description

We are hiring immediately for a full time NIGHT COOK position at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center - 5 Mobile Infirmary Circle, Mobile, AL 36607. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time schedule. Monday - Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm; more details upon interview. Pay Range: $13.50 to $15.00.

As a Night Cook, you will prepare food in accordance with established standards and ensure quality food service is provided at all times. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
  • Serving meals and preparing for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and arranged nicely.
  • Using established ticket collection procedures during service and maintaining records from area worked during service periods.
  • Cleaning kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Storing or discarding excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
  • Keeping refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards.
  • Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment as instructed.
  • Assisting in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
  • Assisting in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
  • Reporting needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
