A Cafe Cook is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and food service in the Colleague Dining Room. This will include preparing meals both hot and cold items, stocking buffets, ensuring the cleanliness of the dining room, stocking and requisitioning supplies, monitoring food temperature and quality, and answering questions about the menu.

Skills Required extracted by

  • At least 1 year of professional cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume food service operation.
  • Combination of professional work experience with formal culinary training.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good knife skills.
  • Product knowledge and identification.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, and carry moderate amounts of weight.
  • Open morning and afternoon availability, including weekends and holidays.
