Job Description

IronOaks at Sun Lakes is one of the most desirable retirement destinations in the Valley, featuring two fabulous clubhouses, 45 holes of golf, fitness, tennis & pickleball, softball, pools, trails, and much more. Located in the towns of Chandler & Sun Lakes, Arizona, we are seeking a Cook 2 to join our Food & Beverage Team.

The Cook 2 is responsible for food preparation, cooking, and serving. This position reports to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef. Key responsibilities include:

  • Mastering one kitchen station and ensuring superior service standards.
  • Proactively exceeding guest satisfaction and resolving challenges.
  • Following a cleaning schedule to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Preparing ingredients, measuring, and mixing according to recipes.
  • Cooking a variety of foods using different methods such as baking, roasting, and broiling.
  • Testing foods for quality and presentation before serving.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Customer-oriented with a strong need for closure.
  • Able to work under pressure and balance multiple assignments.
  • Strong team players who can lead and motivate others.

Physical Demands: The role requires regular speaking, hearing, tasting, and smelling, as well as standing and walking for the duration of the shift. Employees must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent hand washing.
