Trilogy at Vistancia® is comprised of three feature club experiences, the golf club, the original community centerpiece, Kiva Club, and the recently introduced Mita Club. The golf course, the feature restaurant, V's Taproom, the full-service Alvea Spa, and the events & weddings venue are all available to the public.
This position is for a Cook 4, an hourly member of the Food & Beverage Team responsible for food preparation, cooking, and serving. This position reports to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work and master all kitchen stations, including plating and/or expeditor.
- Kitchen trainer responsible for teaching all new staff their station assignments and standard recipes.
- Able to lead a kitchen service, read tickets, and monitor ticket times.
- Assist management with developing weekly and daily specials as needed.
- Ensure superior standards of service meet the requirements of guests and employees.
- Lead and monitor the cleaning schedule and checklist daily.
- Wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
- Bake, roast, broil, and steam various foods.
- Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting and noticing visual appearance.
- Carve meats, portion food on serving plates, and garnish servings to fill orders.
- Assume responsibilities of kitchen production and service when necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Skills:
- High School diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must demonstrate initiative and accept responsibility for decisions and actions.
- Able to pay attention to multiple details and work in a fast-paced environment.
- This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
Work Environment:
- This position typically operates in an indoor kitchen environment but may also work at outdoor events.
- Employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire, and noise.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to speak, hear, taste, smell, sit, stand, and walk for the duration of a work shift.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
