Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is seeking a PRN Cook to join our Dietary Team on the weekends!
Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals according to cycle menus, monitoring methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning. You will coordinate food preparation and meal service, plan and initiate cooking schedules to meet meal schedules. Duties also include preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving meat, main dishes, soup, vegetables, and desserts for assigned meals; ensuring appropriate portioned servings according to portion control standards and recipes. Additionally, you will prepare nutritional snacks for patients as directed by the Dietary Manager and monitor the temperature of hot and cold foods through food preparation and service to ensure that established temperature goals are met prior to steam table transfer and maintained throughout meal service. Weekend shifts are required, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays as needed. The schedule is based on need, depending on how many patients stay in the hospital for the weekend.
