Job Description

We are seeking a culinary management professional to oversee the daily kitchen operations at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa. You will be accountable for the overall success of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production and guest satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Exhibiting culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff.
  • Managing food-related functions and improving guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Supervising all kitchen areas to ensure consistent, high-quality products.
  • Guiding and developing kitchen staff, including direct reports.
  • Ensuring sanitation and food standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with significant experience in culinary, food, and beverage management, or a degree in Culinary Arts or related field. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing kitchen shift operations and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Estimating daily production needs and communicating with kitchen personnel.
  • Preparing and cooking a variety of foods, including for special events.
  • Maintaining purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards, while also operating kitchen equipment.

Your role will also involve ensuring exceptional customer service by managing daily operations, interacting with guests, and addressing feedback.

In addition, you will achieve and exceed performance and budget goals, utilizing the Labor Management System to schedule effectively and train employees in safety procedures.

As a leader, you will identify the developmental needs of your team, providing coaching and feedback while participating in the employee performance appraisal process.

The salary range for this position is $62,000 to $82,000 annually. Marriott offers a variety of benefits and incentives to support your career and well-being.
