The Cook prepares meals and snacks according to recipes and menus planned by the Nutrition/Health Resource Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares meals and snacks for children and staff.
• Maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness in kitchen and storage areas.
• Obtain 15 hours of continued job-related education/training by attending workshops, continuing educational courses, and meetings.
• Assists with mealtime in the classroom.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Information: 31200

• High school diploma/GED PLUS one (1) year of experience in institutional or commercial cooking.
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
