As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, and appetizers. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Veggie prep, grilling, roasting, soups, stocks, baking.
• Follows specific recipes as directed by Lead Chef.
• Cook food in a timely manner.
• Ensure appealing presentation.
• Check freshness of food for proper food storage and rotation.
• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
• Create prep lists.

This role requires a passionate and motivated individual with a proven work experience as a Chef or Cook, and hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment. You should possess knowledge of culinary techniques, have the ability to remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate excellent time management abilities. Additionally, an up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes, familiarity with sanitation regulations, and possession of a Food Handlers Card are essential.

The expected compensation for this position in California is: $24.00 USD - $30.00 Hourly.
