Cook experience is required; however, while little experience is required for a basic cook position, the more experience a candidate has, the more skills and talents they will offer. You will begin in food preparation or as a helper to learn the basics of cooking, then advance to become a second position cook or line cook, eventually becoming a full cook.

Job type: Full or Part-Time

Salary: $18 to $20/hour, depending on experience.

About Baylands Golf Links Café:

We are a full-service café catering to golfers and the general public. In addition, we also conduct banquet events for 25 to 100 people.

Objectives:

• Basic knife skills.
• Food prep including chopping, slicing veggies, and deli meats.
• Keeping the kitchen clean & orderly.
• Follow food health and safety guidelines (Food Handlers Card is a must).
• Cook, clean, and help other cooks.
• Make adjustments based on customer requests.
• Producing meals and cleaning their workplace throughout the day.
• Cooks must follow recipes consistently.

Position Responsibilities:

• Efficient time management.
• Must be adaptable.
• Must be teachable.
• Full compliance with the Department of Health regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
