We are looking for a talented Executive Chef to join our team and significantly contribute to reopen our newly remodeled resort in the American Riviera, Santa Barbara!

What You Will Do

We are looking for an Executive Chef who will provide leadership and management for the Resort’s culinary department, support the goals of the Director of F&B, and plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the culinary department while ensuring guest satisfaction and meaningful and lasting dining impressions.

The primary responsibilities for this position are to ensure our guests receive the highest level of food quality and service, manage and develop a team, devise and monitor an annual budget, manage labor control and operating expenses and develop relationships with key suppliers and industry associates.

Substantial pre-opening experience is strongly preferred. Work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service. Must have creativity, flair, and a strong innovative mindset.

Skills Required extracted by

  • Prior Executive Chef experience (no less than 5 years) in a luxury hotel/resort.
  • Proven record leading fine dining concepts.
  • Internationally versed and multi-venue experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage Service and Culinary operations.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong, innovative approach.
  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, or business administration.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and knowledge of Open Table and Microsoft applications.
  • Previous experience with MICROS or other POS systems required.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language; Spanish preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain any required food handling or sanitation certifications.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
