Job Description

Nourish is looking for an Executive Chef - Commissary to lead our culinary team in Santa Clara, California. The Executive Chef Commissary will lead the commissary kitchen including the execution of the daily production, food cost management, training of culinary staff, and overseeing the food safety program with a focus on excellent food. Our ideal candidate will be innovative, keeping services fresh and updated based on current trends.

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • Manage daily food production that includes production planning, preparation, and food safety controls.
  • Ensure that Culinary Standards are maintained, which includes recipe compliance, food quality, and food safety.
  • Be hands-on in the kitchen.
  • Oversee ordering and inventory management.
  • Support the training and development of the culinary staff.
  • Have oversight of day-to-day operations, ensuring flow of production, food, staff, and safety.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Has the ability to speak Spanish would be a plus for this role.
