Job Description

Castle Oaks Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Line Cook.

As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes according to recipes and guidelines provided by the management team. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the culinary experience of our guests through your attention to detail and passion for food and respect of the ingredients.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, with a focus on portion control.
  • Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
  • Utilize whole food products eliminating any waste; maintain a completely prepped station for service; ensuring station is prepped for the next shift.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
  • Alert chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
  • Requisition inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
  • Ensure proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a line cook; ideally in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Attention to detail and passion for creating culinary delights.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, listens, tastes, and smells.
  • Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
  • Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds (team lift).
