Job Description

At True Food Kitchen, we pride ourselves on serving great food! This means that we rely on our line cooks to consistently and efficiently prepare and cook our recipes to the highest quality. Many items on our menu are seasonal which gives our line cooks a variety of recipes to prepare as we rotate throughout the year.

We look for people who exhibit a love of making great food and understand the accountability of presenting quality dishes. You will prepare and cook a variety of starters, entrees, pizzas, and more using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques. You will know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service.

As part of your responsibilities, you will maintain a clean and sanitary work station and corresponding equipment, execute proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes, and handle, store, and rotate all products properly according to standards. You will also assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed, open and close the kitchen properly, and follow checklists for kitchen stations.

Skills Required extracted by

  • Experience in at least one of the following stations: Pantry, Pastry, Pizza, Wok, Sauté, Grill.
  • At least 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Exceptional knife skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and execute a recipe.
  • Understanding of the accountability of presenting quality dishes.
