Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Cook (Butcher) at the University of Denver. This position requires butcher experience and the ability to work varying shifts with open availability preferred.

As a Senior Cook at Sodexo, you will be a team player focused on reducing food waste. You’ll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
  • Follow complex recipes and product directions.
  • Produce small to large batch goods using advanced classical and contemporary cooking techniques.
  • May oversee production staff, train, and assign tasks.
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity.
  • Perform cutting and trimming tasks.
  • Track inventory and sales to determine stock needs.
  • Maintain records for federal safety and inspection purposes.
  • Follow sanitation standards to prevent meat contamination.
