The Role You’ll Contribute:

• Follows a menu to prepare and cook food for patients, visitors and staff members with minimal guidance.
• Responsible for following Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Safe Handling Guidelines regarding food safety and sanitation.
• Will provide excellent customer services when working with patients, visitors and other staff members.
• Oversees the quality of food being served and the cleanliness of the service and cooking areas.
• Mentors less experienced Nutrition Services staff.

The Value You’ll Bring To The Team:

• Cooks all foods according to the standardized recipes.
• Prepares food items according to patient specific restrictions and established schedules.
• Maintain adequate supply of hot and cold items required for cafeteria, patient and unit stocking.
• Prepares food for institutional functions, both standard and special.

• Three years of previous healthcare or commercial cooking experience.
• Knowledge of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Safe Handling Guidelines.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and prepare food according to patient specific restrictions.
