Under supervision, prepares and cooks food.

Shift: No remote, No on-call; mostly 6:00a-2:30p, with a few 9:30a-6p shifts to cover for PTO when needed. Most ideal schedule is Thurs - Mon, but most importantly must have availability to work the 6am shift on Friday & Saturday. Full Time 40 hrs/weekly.

Scope:

• Reviews menus daily to determine quantities of food and supplies needed.
• Prepares food for cafeteria, patient food service, and catering using creativity, quality, consistency, and promptness.
• Follow and comply with recipe standards.
• Monitors and replenishes food as needed for cafeteria, catering, or patient trays.
• Ensures food is being handled and stored to Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
• Operates various types of kitchen equipment and maintains cleanliness.
• Records temperatures of refrigerators.
• Ensures equipment is in good working condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience: $18.29 - $21.88.
