The Kitchen Bistro in Boulder is a community gathering spot featuring a seasonal menu and shared plates set in a modern, rustic atmosphere. The line cook is responsible for preparing excellent meals from scratch as well as assisting with other back-of-house duties. Our line cooks support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting, and progressive environment. This person should be a high-energy and positive individual who will help foster connections with friends, family, and the community through service, food, and drink. Responsibilities:
- Ability to prepare food to the exact specifications of the chef; dedicated to creating well-executed and delicious food.
- Able to work quickly while implementing set standards including abiding by quality, portion control, and presentation expectations.
- Prepare for food service; clean and chop food, set up and stock stations.
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness are a must.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Assist with cleaning and stocking.
- Open and close the restaurant and perform related work as requested.
- Ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality while always maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
- Promote and embrace the restaurant’s community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, outgoing nature, and a pleasant, professional appearance.

Working Conditions:
- Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.
- Working with hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment as well as operating office equipment.
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.
- The employee is frequently required to walk.
- May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Operation of a high-pressure steam boiler or high-temperature water boiler.
Salary: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour plus service fee.
