Job Description

Aloy Thai Cuisine is seeking a professional Wok Fry Cook and Line Cook who can help prepare meals as per our standard recipes. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating meal portions and cooking meals while keeping a sanitized work area. We are seeking an individual who has experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food presentation and garnishing, which is important for impressing our guests and creating repeat business.

Line Cook responsibilities:

  • Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes.
  • Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
  • Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
  • Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant.

Wok Fry Cook responsibilities:

  • Wok cooks are responsible for preparing delicious, presentable dishes for our guests.
  • A wok cook is responsible for setting up and taking down their station, while prepping ingredients and preparing dishes for our guests.
  • Wok cooks must follow standard duties and responsibilities in the kitchen, while maintaining a clean and sanitized work space.

Essential Functions:

  • Set up station for success.
  • Prepare ingredients for station.
  • Notify Kitchen Manager or Supervisor of any short ingredients or quality issues.
  • Serve menu items within allotted ticket time, while maintaining quality standards.
  • Never compromise quality.
  • Use proper kitchen utensils as to not cross-contaminate.
  • Maintain an organized and sanitary work space.
  • Utilize proper kitchen language and clearly communicate with Expo and other line cooks.
  • Label all prepped items.
  • Properly close and clean kitchen according to Health Department standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Move, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stopping.
  • Manual ability to use, carry and operate all necessary equipment.
