Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join the culinary team at our client's nursing facility. The Cook will play a crucial role in preparing and serving appetizing, well-balanced meals to our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure that all meals are prepared and presented with attention to taste, texture, and visual appeal.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs and dietary restrictions of our residents.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including regular cleaning of kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Monitor and record food temperatures and ensure that food is stored, handled, and served safely.
• Assist in food inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
• Adapt recipes and portion sizes to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain compliance with state and local health department requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Cook in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and dietary guidelines.
• Culinary training or certification is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
