Birch Bakehouse is seeking an experienced Bakery Manager / Head Pastry Chef to oversee daily operations, develop the menu, and build a talented team. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the founder and help shape the future of Birch Bakehouse.

Our client is seeking a talented professional who thrives in a creative environment and can lead a team while maintaining the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the founder to establish the bakery and drive growth.
  • Lead and inspire a team of bakers and pastry assistants.
  • Develop baking schedules to ensure freshness and efficiency.
  • Innovate new products, including sweet and savory treats, seasonal menus, and catering options.
  • Manage inventory and source quality ingredients within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff as needed.
  • Rotate as Manager on Duty to maintain cleanliness and brand standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting up to 15 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular bending, reaching, and handling FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
