Job Description

We are seeking a Culinary Management Professional to join our team at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa. This position is accountable for the overall success of daily kitchen operations. You will exhibit your culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food-related functions. Your focus will be on continually improving guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.

As part of your responsibilities, you will supervise all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is produced and guide and develop staff, including direct reports. It is essential to ensure that sanitation and food standards are achieved.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
  • OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major; 2 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Your core activities will include:

  • Leading the culinary team by utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to influence and encourage others.
  • Managing all day-to-day kitchen operations while ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and retention.
  • Achieving and exceeding performance and budget goals.
  • Conducting human resource activities including coaching and mentoring staff.

The salary range for this position is $77,000 to $94,000 annually. Marriott offers a bonus program along with a comprehensive benefits package.
