Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting a Cook 3 to join the hotel’s opening team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. Opening in early 2025, the property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. What you will be responsible for:

• Food preparation and presentation in one or more stations of a large commercial kitchen: pantry, sauté, grill.
• Follow standardized recipes and ensure consistent preparation according to guest specifications.
• Participate in cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Assist with proper storage, preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items.
• Assist with food preparation in advance of food service hours.
• Follow all safety guidelines including safe-handling of food items, knife safety, safe usage of kitchen equipment, etc.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience cooking in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a full-service boutique or luxury resort environment.
• Prior experience with computer operations helpful.
• Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal.
• Conversational abilities in Spanish helpful.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize team and guest needs.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business dictates.
