Job Description

The position involves preparing and cooking food as assigned utilizing standardized issues from Ingredient Control. You will handle and prepare food in accordance with established sanitary and safety regulations, ensuring that food is palatable and appetizing in appearance. Meeting meal schedules and avoiding waste is essential, as well as being responsible for the proper care and cleaning of equipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. You are required to read, speak, write, perform simple arithmetic calculations, and understand and follow written and oral instructions. A minimum of two years of cooking experience in commercial foodservices is required. On-the-job training is also provided under close supervision. You must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities and be familiar with seasonings, as well as have knowledge of cooking characteristics of various meats, vegetables, and starches.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: None.
