Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 3 for Orlando Health Melbourne, a 120 bed Acute Care Hospital located in Melbourne, Florida.

The Executive Chef 3 is a highly visible culinary role. The Executive Chef 3 will direct and participate in all of the retail, catering, patient meals, and food production processes at the unit.

The successful candidate will have exceptional culinary management experience, a proven track record with creative and current culinary trends, high end catering experience as well as excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Directly manage retail, patient services and catering cooks.
  • Maintain all staff schedules and cover schedules on an as needed basis.
  • Responsible for yearly evaluation and goals for cooks.
  • Implementation and standardization of all culinary systems and procedures for unit through the direction of system wide initiatives.
  • Manage all aspects of the retail and catering menu.
  • Conduct walk through of all areas.
  • Maintain the Food Management System.
  • Responsible for Food and Physical Safety and all HACCP record keeping.
  • Maintain Gold Check standards.
  • Conduct chef demos and education seminars in unit.
  • Create interpersonal relationships with clients in unit.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Basic Management Experience - 3 years.

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
