Job Description

CCL Hospitality Group is seeking an Executive Chef with a salary range of $90,000 - $95,000, along with a $5,000 Signing Bonus and benefits. This position is based in Chicago, IL, and relocation assistance is available.

As an inspirational and organized leader, you will ensure the overall success of daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food preparation. The Executive Chef will showcase culinary talents through the delivery of show-quality food and will be involved in task performance while developing and empowering the onsite staff. You will be responsible for continually improving resident, employee, and client satisfaction while maximizing financial performance in all areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading daily culinary production and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Determining food presentation and creating decorative food displays.
  • Providing direction on menu development based on product availability.
  • Maintaining product consistency through inspections.
  • Preparing and cooking foods for regular service and special guests.
  • Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and food preparation workers.
  • Communicating the importance of safety procedures and ensuring compliance.
  • Managing department controllable expenses and analyzing financial data.
  • Creating and implementing strategies for exceptional customer service.
  • Leading team member meetings and establishing performance goals.
  • Developing and implementing strategies that support team member engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
  • Hands-on chef experience is a must.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends.
  • Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities.
