Job Description

We are seeking a skilled culinary management professional to join our team at The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club. In this role, you will exhibit your culinary talents and assist in leading the kitchen staff while managing all food-related functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance.
  • Supervising all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is produced.
  • Guiding and developing staff including direct reports.
  • Ensuring sanitation and food standards are achieved.
  • Overseeing all food preparation areas, such as banquets, room service, restaurants, and employee cafeteria.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts or related fields with 4 years of experience. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to manage daily operations.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing guidelines for purchasing and receiving areas.
  • Communicating safety procedures and ensuring compliance with food handling standards.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and responding to guest feedback.
  • Identifying developmental needs of kitchen staff and administering performance appraisals.

The salary range for this position is $82,000 to $107,000 annually, along with a variety of benefits including health care, retirement plans, and other incentives.
