Job Description

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' training center, also known as the AdventHealth Training Center, is located at One Buc Place in Tampa, Florida.

The JR Sous Chef position will report to the Executive Chef and will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and development of menus.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
  • Foster a passion for food and menu creation.
  • Maintain efficiency and cost-effectiveness in kitchen operations.
  • Ensure adherence to specific ingredients and measurements for various menus.
  • Maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and multitask effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Professional training through culinary education or experience in a high-volume fine dining restaurant/catering facility preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage menu, specials, and services offered.
  • Ability to assure compliance with service standards and inventory procedures.
  • Ability to lift and transport food items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
  • Mobility to perform assigned tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work all venue events including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
