Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Cooks I, II, and III to join our dynamic kitchen team at Hotel Haya, located in the heart of historic Ybor. You will work with an amazing team passionate about hospitality, celebrating diversity, and embracing individuality.

What You Will Do:

  • Uphold and role model the company’s principles of People, Place, and Character.
  • Act as a key partner with culinary leadership to provide the best possible guest experience.
  • Take pride in preparing food for guests, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Work in an organized manner with respect for ingredients, equipment, and workspace.
  • Demonstrate a professional sense of urgency while mindful of technique.
  • Possess an advanced understanding of culinary skills and strive to learn more.
  • Foster open communication within the department and actively participate in feedback sessions.
  • Observe conditions of all physical facilities and report any substandard issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with the culinary leadership team on priorities.

What You Will Need:

  • Passion for the people, place, and character of our community.
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Food Safety certification from a reputable organization required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to withstand warm to hot environments for prolonged periods.
