At True Food Kitchen, we pride ourselves on serving great food! This means that we rely on our line cooks to consistently and efficiently prepare and cook our recipes to the highest quality. Many items on our menu are seasonal which gives our line cooks a variety of recipes to prepare as we rotate throughout the year.

We Look For People Who

  • Have experience in a minimum of one of these stations: Pantry, Pastry, Pizza, Wok, Sauté, Grill. Experience in more than one is a PLUS!
  • Preferably have at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Exhibit exceptional knife skills.
  • Can work efficiently in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Read and execute a recipe.
  • A love of making great food and understand the accountability of presenting quality dishes!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Prepare and cook a variety of starters, entrees, pizzas and more using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service.
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and corresponding equipment.
  • Execute proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly and according to standards.
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Open and close the kitchen properly, assist others and follow checklists for kitchen stations.
  • Understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures.
  • Participate in proactive communication to help avoid and solve operational, HR, and financial issues.
  • Be flexible during shifts to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed.
