Job Description

We are seeking a culinary manager for the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. This role is accountable for the overall success of daily kitchen operations, exhibiting culinary talents while leading the staff and managing all food-related functions. You will work to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is produced.
  • Guiding and developing staff, including direct reports.
  • Ensuring sanitation and food standards are achieved.
  • Leading the culinary team and demonstrating integrity and financial decision-making.
  • Communicating effectively to improve service performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining productivity levels of employees and celebrating team successes.
  • Developing and creating new applications and ideas for the kitchen.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Food & Beverage policies and procedures.
  • Preparing and cooking foods for guests and functions.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Setting specific goals to prioritize and organize work effectively.
  • Identifying developmental needs of others and coaching them.
  • Participating in employee performance appraisal processes.
