Job Description

Are you an experienced Sous Chef with a strong culinary background and a commitment to teamwork and leadership? If so, join our team at Chatsworth by Erickson Senior Living and play a key role in our innovative Signature Dining Programs, which include à la minute cooking and chef-inspired creations. This role will report directly to the CC general manager. The Sous Chef will manage all culinary functions including staffing of FOH and BOH, cooks and utility management, food production, all purchasing of food & beverage products, and inventory management while maintaining monthly budget expectations.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Supervises the scheduling, training, and discipline of all culinary and utility staff.
  • The Sous Chef will oversee all culinary functions in the continuing care building, including staffing, food production, utility management, and kitchen sanitation.
  • Manages daily kitchen production and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals.
  • Directs the preparation and service of all menu items, including adherence to recipes, proper food handling, food safety, quality, dietary restrictions, and production forecasts.
  • Oversees the organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock.
