Job Description

Come and experience the difference with R+L Carriers at our Golden Ocala Golf Club as a Sous Chef in a salaried position with a salary range of $58-65k.

This is a full-time, on-site position with various shifts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a financially profitable food and beverage business operation.
  • Using innovative sales and marketing concepts to grow the business.
  • Making complex decisions related to quality and problem-solving.
  • Completing work through others by delegating tasks and developing direct reports.
  • Coordinating operations between departments.
  • Teaching and coaching employees to maintain a high-quality workforce.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards as defined by Health Department guidelines.
  • Supervising kitchen employees and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Monitoring food purchasing, staffing, and inventory to control costs and waste.
  • Assisting in developing menu changes for variety and quality.
  • Serving as a culinary coach to drive continuous improvement and employee retention.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.

To qualify for this position, you should have:

  • An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry with management experience preferred.
  • A proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership behaviors and technical skills.
  • Adherence to health/safety and food safety regulations.
  • Experience working with inventory systems and food/beverage vendors.
