Job Description

The Sous Chef has an overall responsibility for the efficient and effective running of the kitchen and food production outlets, ensuring operating costs are minimized.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execution of all Omni Hotel & Resorts company policies/procedures to achieve established standards within budgetary controls.
  • Assisting the Executive Chef in budgeting, including food cost and payroll.
  • Managing associates in scheduling, training, developing, coaching, and counseling.
  • Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygienic practice throughout the kitchen.
  • Establishing and maintaining control of the standards for purchasing and receiving items.
  • Inspecting all food service sections during service time to maintain correct standards.
  • Directing proper sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment.
  • Complying with EcoSure & health code standards for sanitation.
  • Ensuring all kitchen equipment is in good working order and scheduling maintenance.
  • Performing any other job-related duties as assigned.
