Job Summary:

The Chef Ce Cuisine position is a crucial role within the culinary department of a hospitality organization.

Job Details:

  • Breakfast-Lunch hours primarily.
  • Maintain a comprehensive collection of recipes, including ingredients, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
  • Set and enforce portion control standards for menu items, balancing quality with cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee budgeting for food, labor, and kitchen operations, ensuring targets are met.
  • Assist with food costing and collaborate on monthly financial reports.
  • Create kitchen staff schedules to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal, monthly, and weekly specials and menu items.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and professional conduct.
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to kitchen staff, ensuring ongoing development and adherence to standards.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and support staff growth and skill development.
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety practices in line with industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in high-end or luxury culinary environments is preferred.
  • Food Safety Manager Certification preferred or must be obtained within 30 days.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Skilled in budgeting, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality.
  • Expertise in menu development and food presentation.
