Job Summary:
The Chef Ce Cuisine position is a crucial role within the culinary department of a hospitality organization.
Job Details:
- Breakfast-Lunch hours primarily.
- Maintain a comprehensive collection of recipes, including ingredients, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
- Set and enforce portion control standards for menu items, balancing quality with cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee budgeting for food, labor, and kitchen operations, ensuring targets are met.
- Assist with food costing and collaborate on monthly financial reports.
- Create kitchen staff schedules to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of seasonal, monthly, and weekly specials and menu items.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and professional conduct.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to kitchen staff, ensuring ongoing development and adherence to standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and support staff growth and skill development.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety practices in line with industry standards.
Requirements:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
- Experience in high-end or luxury culinary environments is preferred.
- Food Safety Manager Certification preferred or must be obtained within 30 days.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Skilled in budgeting, food costing, and inventory management.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality.
- Expertise in menu development and food presentation.
