The role involves providing technical and administrative assistance to the Executive Sous Chef and ensuring effective operation of the kitchen and food production outlets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in training staff on menu items including ingredients, preparation methods, and unique tastes.
  • Operating and maintaining all department equipment and reporting malfunctions.
  • Purchasing appropriate supplies and managing inventories according to budget.
  • Reviewing staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Training associates in safety procedures and supervising their ability to follow loss prevention policies to prevent accidents and control costs.
  • Investigating reports and following up on associate accidents.
  • Setting a positive example for guest relations.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Empowering associates to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensuring associates understand expectations and parameters.
  • Observing service behaviors of associates and providing feedback.
  • Emphasizing guest satisfaction during departmental meetings.
  • Assisting in the interviewing and hiring of associate team members.
  • Supporting a departmental orientation program for new hires.
  • Ensuring associates are cross-trained for daily operations.
  • Communicating performance expectations according to job descriptions.
  • Participating in the associate performance appraisal process.
  • Establishing and maintaining open, collaborative relationships with associates.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift, including holidays and weekends.
  • Must be management ServeSafe certified.
