CCL Hospitality Group is seeking an Executive Chef with a salary range of $90,000 - $95,000 and a $5,000 signing bonus. This position is based in Chicago, IL, and relocation assistance is available.

As an inspirational and organized leader, you will ensure the overall success of daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food preparation. The Executive Chef will showcase culinary talents through the delivery of show-quality food, personal involvement in task performance, and developing and empowering the onsite staff. You will work to continually improve resident, employee, and client satisfaction while maximizing financial performance in all areas of responsibility.
Leading Culinary Operation: You will lead daily culinary production in preparation and production of meals, ensure food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards, and manage team member productivity and performance. You will determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays, provide direction on menu development, seek out sources for fresh food, and monitor all produce and meat for freshness. Additionally, you will maintain product consistency, research customer preferences, and prepare and cook foods of all types.
Business & Financial Acumen: Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies for the community, manage department controllable expenses, and develop, implement, and manage the department's budget. Analyze financial and operational information to adjust business plans and operating costs while identifying major revenue and expense opportunities.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service: You will create 100% resident satisfaction by providing team members with the training and resources they need. Improve service by assisting individuals to understand guest needs and empowering employees to provide excellent customer service.
Team Building and Management: Regularly lead team member meetings, establish goals, solicit employee feedback, and develop strategies to support team member engagement. Ensure employees are treated fairly, provide necessary training, and communicate performance expectations.
Preferred Qualifications: A.S. or equivalent experience, minimum 5 years of culinary/kitchen management experience, extensive catering experience, high volume foodservice operations experience, and ServSafe certification are highly desirable.
