Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Line Cooks to join our team in Wailea, HI. Major responsibilities include:

  • Reading and understanding recipes and POS generated tickets.
  • Cutting foods as specified by standardized recipes.
  • Weighing, measuring, and preparing foods according to recipe specifications.
  • Preparing meats, vegetables, batters, sauces, and dressings according to station checklists.
  • Baking or cooking certain food items according to guest orders and recipes.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing all parts of the assigned station throughout each shift as required and specified in the daily checklist.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the demands of the service period.
  • Preparing and presenting specific menu items according to standardized plating cards and recipes.
  • Setting up the station according to daily checklists, par sheets, and the Chef's direction.
  • Communicating pertinent and required information to the next meal period's Line Cooks.
  • Communicating food and equipment shortages to supervisors.

Applicants must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, moderately noisy environment containing multiple personality types, which can become crowded, hot, and high-pressure. Responsibilities include:

  • Constantly standing, walking, using hands/fingers, reaching outward, and pushing/pulling 10-25 lbs.
  • Frequently reaching above shoulder, bending, and lifting/carrying 26-50 lbs.
  • Occasionally climbing and squatting or kneeling.

Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment (non-slip shoes, back belt if lifting over 25 lbs, safety glove when using a knife).
