Job Description

We are looking for a School Baker who will coordinate with food service employees to ensure baked goods are prepared in a timely manner to meet meal service times and/or satellite delivery schedules. The role involves:

  • Reviewing daily production records and determining appropriate standardized recipes.
  • Accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to approved recipes.
  • Preparing mixes for and baking a variety of baked goods such as bread, rolls, buns, biscuits, muffins, and pizza crusts.
  • Setting up serving counters for meal service and serving students and staff.
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas and dining areas in a sanitary manner.
  • Documenting leftover foods and informing the School Food Services Manager.
  • Receiving provisions ordered and documenting product temperatures.
  • Assisting in training new food service employees and supervising helpers.
  • Participating in staff meetings and achieving required training hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Experience: Six months of work experience in a kitchen environment and one year as a baker in a relevant establishment.
