Job Description

The Deli Baker will be working in a production Bakery; baking, preparing our approved list of recipes. Bakers are responsible for their prep list and assigned recipes and preparation in getting their stations ready for production, prep, set up and dismantling and cleaning at the end of the day.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Provide consistently positive customer engagement and communication.
  • Model respectful communication with our customers as well as our FOH and BOH associates.
  • Uphold and enforce high levels of food safety standards and practices.
  • Obtain a 95% or better score on all our EcoSure audits.
  • Ensure the preparation of assigned foods are according to the approved recipes and made efficiently.
  • Adhere to all approved recipes in production, following all food handling practices consistently.
  • Monitor the cleanliness of assigned stations throughout the day as needed for food safety.
  • Safely and effectively use small and large kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure we are reducing waste and shrink by following pars, executing samples, and completing the daily shrink report.
  • Complete any other duties assigned by your Lead, Assistant Manager, or Department Manager.

Physical Demands

Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a grocery setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, up to 50lbs; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Working Environment

Work is performed primarily in a grocery store setting with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.
