Oak View Group, the global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live event industry, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cook for our Ford Idaho Center and Nampa Civic Center locations. These venues boast a combined capacity of 30,000 and serve up to one million guests annually.

About the Role

The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Portion control, food waste, and sanitation are critical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and packaging food products, prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
  • Receiving verbal orders from front counter staff for food product requirements for guest orders.
  • Maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items, ensuring food is fresh and high quality.
  • Controlling portion sizes and serving temperatures of all food products.
  • Cleaning, stocking, and restocking workstations and displays.
  • Operating large-volume cooking equipment (grills, deep-fat fryers, ovens).
  • Ensuring all work areas, equipment, food products, utensils, and floors are clean and sanitized at the end of each shift.
  • Being checked out by the Floor Supervisor to ensure cleanliness standards are met before ending the shift.
  • Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas.
  • Demonstrating excellent attendance, meeting company standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests to create a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and event-driven environment.
  • Possession of a valid food handling certificate, if required by state and federal regulations.

Compensation & Application

This role pays an hourly wage of $17-22 plus tips. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
