Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Full-Time Cook to join our cafeteria team. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. Both M-F and Weekend availability required.

Practices Serve Safe Sanitation:

  • Sanitation according to the guidelines of Serve Safe is practiced at all times.

Prepares Catering Functions And Consistently Maintains Quality:

  • Catering functions are prepared on time and to what the customer has ordered.

Prepares patient meals in accordance with specific diets:

  • Patient meals are made according to their diet and are ready on time for tray line.

Ensures proper temperature of all food served:

  • The temperature of our food is at an acceptable level according to our policy and procedure manual.
  • Tally sheets are followed so that extra food is not left over after tray line.

Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu:

  • Cafeteria meals are done on time. There is sufficient backup so that the café does not run out of food.

Skills Required extracted by

  • ServSafe Food Safety Certificate.
