CCL Hospitality Group is seeking an Executive Chef with a salary range of $90,000 - $95,000 and a $5,000 Signing Bonus + Benefits. This position is based in Chicago, IL, with relocation assistance available.

As an inspirational and organized leader, you will ensure the overall success of daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food preparation. The Executive Chef will showcase culinary talents through the delivery of show-quality food and involve themselves personally in task performance while developing and empowering the onsite staff. You will work to improve resident, employee, and client satisfaction while maximizing financial performance in all areas of responsibility.
Leading Culinary Operation: You will lead daily culinary production, ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation standards, team member productivity, and overall profitability. You will determine food presentation, create decorative food displays, and provide direction on menu development. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking various foods, supervising cooks, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining food storage standards.
Business & Financial Acumen: You will participate in developing business strategies for the community, manage controllable expenses, and analyze financial and operational information to adjust business plans and labor requirements. You will oversee food inventory and schedule staff based on forecasted volumes.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service: You will create 100% resident satisfaction by providing training and resources for team members, improving service through communication, and responding to guest problems and complaints. You will empower employees to provide excellent customer service and develop strategies to enhance the customer experience.
Team Building and Management: You will lead team member meetings, establish performance and budget goals, and solicit employee feedback. You will develop strategies to support team member engagement and provide necessary training and tools for job responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications: A.S. or equivalent experience is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience. Extensive catering experience, high volume foodservice operations experience, and hands-on chef experience are essential. Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality production, food cost controls, and sanitation is necessary. Proficiency with computers and ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
