UMMO, a contemporary Italian restaurant in Chicago, is seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook to join our renowned pastry team. At UMMO, we elevate Italian desserts with innovative techniques, bold flavors, and exceptional presentation, creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in crafting and executing an innovative dessert menu, utilizing advanced pastry techniques to bring our vision to life.
  • Collaborate closely with the Pastry Chef to maintain high standards of consistency, flavor, and presentation across all dessert offerings.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the pastry kitchen, contributing to a smooth workflow.
  • Participate in inventory management, monitoring ingredients, and ensuring quality and freshness of all pastry components.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Cook, preferably in a high-end or fine-dining restaurant setting.
  • Strong foundation in pastry techniques with a commitment to learning and contributing to an innovative pastry program.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively.
  • Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English (Spanish required for this role).
  • Flexible schedule, with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
