We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Executive Pastry Chef to join our growing Des Plaines Team!

Responsibilities:
- Support in producing and creating high-end pastry products served daily to hundreds of international airline guests.
- Commitment to producing the highest quality of food, responsible for food quality.
- Organizing production procedures and meeting all deadlines.
- Ensuring all assigned responsibilities are completed by the end of the shift.
- Pastry preparation and production (cutting, peeling, mixing, assembling food items).
- Food plating and food packaging.
- Read, understand and follow menu specifications.
- Ordering food and dishes required for production.
- Support with writing the shift schedule (when needed).
- Compliance with all hygiene, quality as well as food and safety regulations and responsible for ensuring all staff adhere too (example, labeling foods as needed, ensuring kitchen areas and workstation are kept clean and tidy, and more).
- Problem solving and voicing ideas for improving internal efficiencies.
- Assist Pastry Chefs and Cooks with different tasks in the kitchen (as needed).
- Supervising and motivating the staff to work together as a team as well as individually.
- Learn to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in the time given.
- Supervising, teaching, developing and facilitating of new and existing staff.
- Support Airline Presentations as needed (example, support with production of additional products to present to Airline Clients, and more).
- Support during Menu Changes/Cycle Changes as needed (example, familiarize yourself with new menus and recipes, train staff on new products, ensure smooth transition regarding the production of new products, and more).
