Your role involves cultivating food and beverage excellence. Reporting to the Executive Chef and Hotel Executive Chef, your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering professional, friendly, and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.
  • Ensuring consistency in the preparation of all food items according to hotel recipes and standards.
  • Conducting daily shift briefings to kitchen colleagues.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication regarding guest feedback.
  • Anticipating guests’ needs and responding promptly.
  • Maintaining proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize waste.
  • Having full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Following kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Adhering to all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the Culinary field required in Garde Manger and Hot Kitchen in a 4 or 5 Diamond Restaurant or Hotel.
  • Journeyman’s papers or international equivalent required.
  • Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline is an asset.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Available to work weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Physical Aspects of Position:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.

Visa Requirements: Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
