AVI Foodsystems, a nationally respected and trusted food service company since 1960, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member for the Cook position at the Taylor University Chick-Fil-A location in Upland, IN.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a pleasant dining experience for customers.
  • Assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients according to recipes.
  • Maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Ensuring the careful detail and presentation of each order.
  • Placing and expediting orders efficiently.
  • Preparing ingredients by slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing.
  • Completing hot meal preparation through grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, broiling, assembling, and refrigerating cold ingredients.
  • Adhering to all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Maintaining appropriate food dating, labeling, and rotation.
  • Storing leftovers according to established standards.
  • Contributing to daily, holiday, and themed menus in collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in food preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practices.
  • Exceptional food presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • A strong work ethic and high energy level.
