The Breakfast Cook is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. This role involves preparing a variety of breakfast foods for the Hy-Vee Market Grille, including hot and cold foods, as well as heat-and-eat varieties. The Breakfast Cook will prep ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Greets customers in a friendly manner and addresses them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items out of reach, and making note of customer suggestions.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to callers.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Prepares cooking surfaces and various food items for the upcoming shifts.
• Maintains proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is clean and neat.

Secondary Duties And Responsibilities:

• Provides direct customer service when necessary.
• Orders products and supplies when necessary or notifies department head of needs.
• Assists in other areas of the store as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Visual requirements include depth perception and color vision.
• Must be able to perform various physical activities such as climbing, balancing, and lifting.
