This Cook position is responsible for providing top-quality food preparation, presentation, and prompt service to all residents. Essential duties include:

• Assisting the Dietary Supervisor with breakfast, lunch, or dinner preparation, production, or service.
• Preparing hot and cold items as directed by the Dietary Supervisor.
• Preparing soup, sauces, salads, and desserts according to established standards and recipes.
• Adhering to all health department, safety, and infection control practices.
• Promptly addressing and resolving any potential food service or care coordination issues with team members and leaders.
• Collaborating with the Dietary Supervisor to manage leftovers and inventory to control costs.
• Cleaning work areas as scheduled or instructed.
• Building relationships with residents by communicating with other team members, reviewing resident records, and engaging in direct conversations.
• Maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service with all residents and colleagues.
• Projecting a professional image that reflects Frontier's commitment to service, goodwill, and genuine interest in each resident's unique needs.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for this position include:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods (up to eight hours).
• Experience as an on-line cook in food services is preferred.
• Formal training or on-the-job training in appropriate resident care techniques.
• Compassion for senior adults is required.
• Ability to push and pull up to 30 pounds.
